Last camping day
This morning we all slept in past 8 so we weren't up and rolling until 10. At that time yesterday we had already gone 12 miles. We pranced along a canal for a while and stopped for lunch at a bakery at 16 miles. Then ate at the edge of the seine which we will follow up to Paris.
Then we passed some interesting mansions of all shapes and sizes. Many of them are hard to photograph but there were a plethora of towers. We got to the campground and did laundry. There is no campground within a reasonable distance so tomorrow we are in a bnb. Only 2 more days of biking before we go to Italy.
Seems that a lot of your route has been on unpaved paths. Is that more tiring than pavement? I think it must be slower. Your French must be pretty good now, so enjoy your last few days to speak it! Thanks for the blog entry, Lyle. Gma
ReplyDeleteYou guys with your prancing. I didn't know Dave could sleep past 8am! Enjoy your last day on your bikes! ~ LA
