The Idiots of Saint Val
Today we're staying in a campground called "the Illiots of Saint Val." We started off the day by leaving the farm we resided in yesterday. Since there was no picture yesterday, here it is:
After leaving, we went through multiple shady paths lined with tall sycamore trees. They gave sufficient shade, and we hopped from path to path. They all looked similar to this:
In between paths, there were usually little towns. This particular one had a lot of oldness to it, and some of it was under construction.
We took a walk through it and decided to get Lyle a pizza and me a sandwich and a cake. Here's me absolutely chowing the cake...
And us finishing lunch:
After that, we went and stocked up on lunch and supper supplies for tomorrow and the next day. Then, we continued the biking and saw this Chateau in the distance, which was associated with the Chateau rambouillet.
Before we saw that thing, we saw the actual Chateau rambouillet. It was surrounded with several impressive motes in a complex structure.
We finished off the day with a final 10 miles through hilly country, and towns. Before long we came to our cozy campground with $39 Wi-Fi (If we wanted it.) we are going to try to send this through a Hotspot from my mom's phone.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a perfect day! I love this entry, Alex. Hahaha, the idiots of Saint Val...guess that's you guys, huh. GREAT photos!! What pretty, shady paths you guys found, and such a pretty market. No kitties today?
ReplyDeleteOh that cake looks amazing! Raspberry and chocolate? Your bike route is beautiful. I guess French countryside looks like Oregon a bit, minus all the chateaus of course, haha. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Ride on!
